This 3-hour presentation is for family members and friends who are looking for a way to help their loved one with a hoarding problem. The presentation covers treatment options for the problem, explains why people develop hoarding behaviors and introduces harm reduction as a pragmatic approach to help your loved one manage a severe hoarding problem when he or she is unsafe and yet unwilling to accept treatment or help.
Dr. Michael Tompkins, the author of Digging Out: Helping Your Loved One Manage Clutter, Hoarding, and Compulsive Acquiring, will be conducting this workshop.
The workshop is open to the public and is from 9 AM to 12 PM. There is an admission fee of $5.00 to all those who choose to attend.
